Eduard Izotov as Ivan.</figcaption>\n</figure>\n\n<p>The film won the 1965 Venice Film Festival's top prize in the program of children's and youth films. Rowe was especially proud of this award, which became for him a symbol of international recognition. In the halls of the Palace of Cinema, one and a half thousand Italian children cheerfully applauded the Soviet fairy tale, and then after the screening excitedly acted out skits, amusingly copying the Russian Baba Yaga. More Russian emigrants came to the screening, many of them crying and shouting: \"Thank you for the white birches. Thank you for the Russian dawn.\"</p>\n\n<p>\"Morozko\" is, first of all, a collective image of various folk tales, someone even finds it similar to the Grimm brothers' fairy tale \"Mrs. Blizzard\". \"Morozko\" is the quintessence of everything Russian, mystical and mysterious.</p>\n\n<figure class = \"pic\">\n <img src=\"https://pavelgvozdev.ru/ogs_tournament/morozko/morozko_2.jpg\" width=500>\n<br>\n <figcaption>Director Alexander Rowe on the set of the movie.</figcaption>\n</figure>\n\n<p>It is worth telling a little about the places that were chosen for filming. The movie was created in the most picturesque parts of the country: summer scenes were filmed near Zvenigorod, and winter scenes - on the Kola Peninsula.</p>\n\n<p>\"Morozko\" absorbed the best technical developments of the director for many years of work in the movie.
