It's time to collect medicinal herbs.\nThe Day of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist coincides with the pagan summer holiday of Ivan Kupala. Among the ancient Slavs, Kupala was the god of earthly fruits.\nOn the night of Ivan Kupala, girls and boys went to the forest. A bonfire was kindled in the forest, everyone jumped over it, led round dances. Then they all sailed together in boats on the river.
