"description": "These are ranked, even games (without a handicap).\n\nAlthough they are correspondence games, they will be “fast” compared to the standard (e.g., ladder) OGS settings: Each move adds 12 hours to your clock with a maximum of 48 hours.\n\nPlayers who timeout are eliminated and will not play in subsequent rounds.\n\nThere are three rounds. Depending on the number of participants, each round involves 3+ simultaneous games for each player. You start out playing those closest to your level.\n\nWinning games in a round means in the next round you’re more likely to play other winners, or stronger players who lost in their bracket. If you lose games, then in the next round you’ll tend to be paired with other players who lost, or weaker players who won in their bracket.\n\nTechnically there is a point system here (beating a stronger player is worth more), but generally speaking the players who win the most games will win the tournament.\n\nWe are set to begin on May 1, which gives us time to spread the word in person. However, if we get enough people signed up, we can start sooner.",
