He is a member of the \"Witch Artists\" (Колдовские художники) society. The subjects of his paintings are often alcoholics, pensioners, hares and cats.</p>\n\n<p>Vasya Lozhkin's paintings are very popular in Russia. He has exhibitions, with images of paintings are released a lot of merchandise. Residents of Russia argue: is Vasya Lozhkin a real artist or not? In his paintings he laughs at Russia or not? Are his paintings serious or not? Are his paintings a criticism of Russian life? And so on.</p> \n\n<p>Some fans on the Internet call Vasya \"the main Russian surrealist of the XXI century\". But Lozhkin himself would not hang such a label on himself:</p>\n<blockquote>\"- What surrealist? I have never been able to draw and do not know how to draw, - he is surprised in a conversation with the author of the blog \"Super!\". - I am self-taught. Where the style came from - I have no idea. Funny pictures influenced. Around us. In general, humor - it is around, not on TV or on the Internet.\"</blockquote>\n\n<p>Some people believe that Vasya Lozhkin is a representative of the so-called \"degenerate art\".</p> \n\n<p>Personally, I believe that in his paintings Vasya Lozhkin ironizes Russian social myths. That is, the subjects of the paintings describe the established social perceptions of some aspects of life in Russia, and the images and style of the paintings indicate an ironic attitude to such views, emphasizing the inconsistency with reality (fairy tale) of this understanding of life.</p>\n\n<p>Some of Vasi's very good paintings do not conform to European and American ideas of political correctness. I want calm, peace and goodness, although it never happens that way anywhere.</p>\n\n<p>And now for the nice part.</p>\n\n<p>First of all, each participant of this unofficial tournament will receive an unofficial prize - a Chinese Go book in electronic form.</p>\n\n<p>Secondly, <a href=\"https://gomagic.org\">Gomagic</a> has generously sponsored prizes for participants of the unofficial tournaments that I host.</p>\n<p>These prizes come in the form of coupons, which can be used towards the purchase of GoMagic courses and memberships. In each group of our the third round, participants ranking 1st and 2nd will be awarded these valuable prizes.</p>\n<p>As the host, I will personally deliver the coupons to the winners via private message on OGS.</p> \n\n<p>Something about the rules. Please note that each turn adds 1 day to your time, but no more than 3 days. Time is suspended on weekends.
