\n\nA jazz standard, also an Evergreen, is a musical composition as part of the well-known jazz repertoire. A jazz standard - most often a popular song, less often an instrumental piece - is used by a jazz musician as the basis for individual or ensemble arrangements, in spontaneous music-making or in a recording studio.
\n\nJazz standards, these are tunes that everyone knows and that have become classics of jazz music. Let's take a look at one of the jazz standards, Kurt Weill's composition Mack the Knife.
\n\nKurt Julian Wiell, 1900-1950 was a German and American composer, one of the few Europeans who managed to combine modern postmodern music with musical and jazz.

\n The song \"Mack the Knife\" is undoubtedly Kurt Weill's biggest hit. The composer composed it for The Threepenny Opera in 1928 (lyrics by Bertolt Brecht), Europeans remembered the song and in the early 30s it was sung by various artists and played by many dance orchestras.

\n\nIn the United States, this little masterpiece was not noticed until after the composer's death; The Threepenny Opera was staged with great success in 1955, and in 1956 it was recorded by Louis Armstrong (translated into English by Mark Blitzstein). Bobby Darin's version appeared in 1958, and in 1960 it was performed by the duo Armstrong - Fitzgerald.

\n\nThe deliberately simple melody is played 7 times, so to create development and climax, from the third verse the tonality is constantly shifted up by half a tone (six tonalities in total). As a jazz standard, the song was included only in the repertoire of several Dixielands.\n\n\n

\n\nKarelia
\n\nIn autumn Karelia looks even more picturesque than in summer. If you come here in September-October, you will be surprised at how comfortable and relaxing your vacation can be: there are no crowds of tourists, stifling heat and swarming insects. Except for swimming and river rafting, you can enjoy the same activities as in summer: sightseeing, hiking, boating, biking, quad biking.
