Standard Japanese rules (5.5 ko for white, Jpns. counting)\n\n20 kyu and up to keep new players who potentially abandon Go thus causing their opponent to have to wait for timeouts out of the tournament.\n\nThis is a McMahon Simultaneous tournament. There are McMahon bars and that's what causes some people to have negative points at the beginning of a tournament. \nThere are upper and lower bars: If you rank above the upper bar, start with 0 points. If you are within the ranks, you lose 1 point for every rank you are away from the top.\n\nIf it looks like the scoring system really unfairly penalizes people, I will set every players' points to 0 manually.",
