The paintings of Édouard Manet, who rid painting of academic clichés, remained misunderstood for a long time.</p> \n\n<p>During Manet's lifetime, the public was not ready to accept his world view, as well as the creative views of the artist's associates Camille Pissarro, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Pierre Renoir and Frédéric Basil. It seems unbelievable now, but the first exhibition of the reformist painters failed miserably.</p>\n \n<p>The first painting with which Edouard Manet enters contemporary art life in Paris was the famous Breakfast on the Grass, which appeared in the Salon des Outcasts in 1863.</p>\n\n<img src=\"https://pavelgvozdev.ru/ogs_tournament/vulgarity/breakfast_on_the_grass.jpg\" width=\"600px\" alt=\"the soviet calendar for every day\">\n\n<p>The scandal that erupted around \"Breakfast on the Grass\" was unparalleled. On the one hand depicts an absolutely mundane scene: at that time it became customary to go on a weekend picnic, often on the banks of the Seine. The Impressionists would produce many paintings on this theme, including Georges Seurat's famous Grand Jatte.</p>\n\n<p>This custom of certain segments of Parisian society developed quite a long time ago. But viewers were puzzled by Manet's portrayal of the picnic, and could never find an unambiguous explanation. It hasn't been found until now, because it simply doesn't exist. The first thing that surprised was the completely naked woman in the foreground in the company of two dressed men, one of whom is pointing his hand at her, or maybe not at her, dressed not in modern fashion, but in the fashion of an earlier time.</p>\n\n<p>In the background is a body of water, which is wonderfully painted: the artist paints the water and the landscape with great skill. And there, bent over, stands another half-naked woman. It is impossible to explain why he joins such a group here.</p>\n\n<p>The naked woman is a favorite model of Manet, which will be the heroine of many paintings. She will also appear in \"Olympia\" - Victorine Meuran. She was a professional model, it painted not only Manet. She attracted artists with her unusual appearance, but she did not end very happily: she tried to become an artist herself, began to paint and even a little bit of exhibition, but drugs and alcohol ended her life.</p>\n\n<p>In Breakfast on the Grass, those features of Manet's work mentioned above already appear. The group in the foreground goes back to a painting by Raphael, which has not survived, but was very well known from an engraving by Raimondi. And the female figure in the background goes back to one of Leonardo da Vinci's images. This resemblance was immediately revealed, and reproaches began immediately against the artist for lack of imagination. In these visual, precisely visual, rather than semantic formulas, Manet squeezes modern life.</p>\n\n<p>Claude Monet, the French painter credited with inventing one of the most fascinating art movements of the 19th century, created an enormous number of incredible paintings. During his nearly 70-year career, Claude Monet (life years 1840-1926) created about 2,500 works of art, and all the while he diligently adhered to the ideals of the Impressionist art movement.</p>\n\n<p>It was because of his painting describing the sunrise in the port of Le Havre that the new artistic movement would later be so called.</p>\n\n<img src=\"https://pavelgvozdev.ru/ogs_tournament/vulgarity/Impression_Rising_Sun.jpg\" width=\"600px\" alt=\"the soviet calendar for every day\">\n\n<p>Monet also painted his version of Breakfast on the Grass, which unfortunately has not survived in its original form. Let's take a look at one of the jazz standards, the composition Now's the Time by Charlie Parker.</p>\n\n \n\n<p>Charlie Parker is one of the few musicians who radically influenced the development of jazz, the greatest saxophonist of all time. Together with trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie and pianist Bud Powell, Parker (nicknamed Yardbird or Bird) is considered the pioneer of bebop. As a performer, Parker possessed a unique sound, an unusually developed harmonic ear and an amazing phraseological logic. Here he wrote the last two chapters of \"Eugene Onegin\", putting an end to the main novel of his life, to which he gave more than seven years.
