In Russian it is used to designate a particular style of American graphics of the mid-20th century. Originated in the 30-40s of the last century. At that time, the printed press became available to the masses, and anyone could cut out an image of a pin-up girl from a newspaper and attach it as a poster at home.</p>\n\n<p>At present, the genre continues to actively develop. In particular, there are different directions of this genre: classic, digital, modern, \"Soviet\", cartoon, glossy.</p>\n\n<p>Unusual is the so-called \"Soviet pin-up\". These are satirical posters, similar to the USSR propaganda materials of the times of the 50s-60s. The victim was a famous Russian businessman whose friends arranged for him to have dinner with the Queen of Great Britain.
